My wife bought her dream car about 2 weeks ago, a beautiful 1964 Thunderbird. After a quick transaction she drove up to Laguna to pick the car up. The seller suggested that she drive it down to the gas station and fill it up before her trip home. After filling up, car would not start. Tow back to the seller's shop.
A few days later she received a phone call that it was simply a battery cable. She drove back up and drove the car home. Tried to start it again, no go.
We called up a local automotive repair place that specializes in classic cars with great ratings. They were not able to see us for 6 weeks and suggested Mission Bay Automotive.
I called Mission Bay Automotive and Mike told me that they could get onto it within a few hours if I got it there quickly.
After they received it Mike called me and told me that it needed a new starter. No problem, that is what we had suspected. We asked for him to do an oil change and once over as well as we had just received the car.
We got a call the next day that everything was done and up and running. The pricing was fair and the work was done quickly. Mike noted that there was oil leaking out of the valve cover (I had forgotten to ask him about that) and that his mechanics torqued down the cover as the bolts were all loose. It is nice to know that I have a new place to take one of our 5 vehicles to and I can trust that all of the work will get done properly by guys who care. Such a relief to have a company that you can trust. Thanks Mike and everyone that helped us out!

This place is great. They explain in detail and are extremely thorough. I'd recommend you schedule an appointment because it's a busy shop.

Mike the service manager came thru AGAIN while I was out of town for an extended period.
Our Honda fit AC compressor went out and he helped my daughter a LOT in my absence by bumping up an appointment slot right before she had to drive to LA in a recent heat wave.

Went to Mission Bay Automotive before a 2000+ mile road trip through the Southwest USA and the service that they provided did not disappoint! Our car had a problem with a wind/whooshing noise on the passenger door that the dealership was charging $250 just to inspect. Mission Bay Automotive diagnosed the problem and fixed it for far less! No annoying noise for the entire trip!

Mike is the most honest mechanic I've ever met. We recently moved to Oceanside but we will continue to bring our vehicles to Mission Bay automotive despite the distance because we know we can trust them, which is hard to come by these days.
